A couple shops for groceries with a cart; she checks her phone in front of the vegetable aisle.

Everyday irritants, sorted

  1. The problem

Always wondering who paid for groceries.

    With Bonjour Finance :

    Every expense logged in seconds

Amount, who paid, category: done. The app keeps the balance current and shows who owes what, at any time.

  2. The problem

Different incomes: 50/50 doesn't suit every couple.

    With Bonjour Finance :

A default split that fits you

Set the group's split once, 50/50 or 60/40 for example. It applies automatically to new expenses. When needed, a single expense can be split differently: exact amounts, percentages or shares.

  3. The problem

Rent and subscriptions come back every month.

    With Bonjour Finance :

    Recurring expenses add themselves

Enter rent, internet or a subscription once as recurring: weekly, monthly, yearly. The next copies are added automatically.

  4. The problem

Nobody knows anymore how much one owes the other.

    With Bonjour Finance :

    A clear settle-up by Interac

When it's time to settle, “Copy for Interac” prepares the email and exact amount to paste in your bank app. You then record the repayment in the app, which updates the balance.

Frequently asked questions

Can we split by income instead of half and half?

Yes. The group admin sets a default split, for example 60/40, which pre-fills every new expense.

Do my personal expenses stay private?

Only expenses added to the group are visible to the other member. Your personal budget stays in your account.

Does the app make the transfer for me?

No. The transfer happens in your bank app. Bonjour Finance copies the email and amount to avoid mistakes, then keeps a record of the repayment.

Can we add expenses in US dollars?

Yes. An expense can be entered in any of eight currencies, including US dollars, and it is converted to the group currency at the rate of the day it was made.

Ready to get your shared expenses in order?

Create an account in a minute. People can be added by email, even before they install the app.
